Your doctor will advise you on which drugs and nutritional supplements to avoid prior to your treatment because they may interfere with blood clotting and healing, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and vitamin E.

Smoking can delay healing, and that is crucial to understand. Smoking should be avoided for four weeks before and for four weeks after the procedure. Additionally, if you are prone to cold sores or fever blisters, you may be offered antiviral medication in addition to antibiotics in advance to prevent bacterial infections.

What To Expect?
